SAP Implementation Road MAP

ASAP (ASAP –Accelerated SAP) Road map consists of five phases:

1. Project Preparation – Project organization and roles are defined implementation scope is
finalized.
2. Business blue print – Detailed documentation of customer’s requirement
3. Realization – To Configure R/3 system
4. Final Preparation- The final preparation of R/3 system for going live. This includes testing,
user training, system management and cutover activities to finalize readiness to go live.
5. Go Live and Support- The aim is to ensure the system functions as smoothly as possible.
6. Continuous improvement

AS-IS Process:

 AS-IS study means studying the business process of the Client.


 It is one of the most important & begins of SAP implementation project.
 While doing business blue print, SAP consultant goes to the client to understand their business
model.
 AS-IS study helps the project to decide on how many modules that are used from SAP, how
many teams required for project, schedule date for go live & project etc

To-Be Process: How the existing process mapped with standard SAP

System Landscape:

 System landscape represents the SAP system deployment at implementation site.


 Three landscape
o Development system (DEV)
o Quality Assurance system (QAS)
o Production System (PRD)

Versions of Implementation guides (IMG’s):

 Reference IMG -All Configuration functionalities


 Enterprise IMG –Specific Companies installation
 Project IMG- To implement specific project
