    • David Richardson has gained nearly half of the undecided who have
    moved since mid-June; he now holds a clear second place position and is
    gaining significant ground on Donna Shalala.

    • David Richardson is now known to 51%; a +18 gain from June.

    • Donna Shalala has seen her negative go up +10 since June.

    • Undecided vote – while shrinking – still remains high at 28% despite


    having Shalala known to 80%.

    Bottom Line

    The combination of David Richardson’s surging momentum, high undecided, and


    Shalala’s inability to convert undecided and 80% name ID into vote support
    means this race is likely headed to a photo finish. Matt Haggman’s advertising
    has increased his name ID but not enough to get him out of single digits. The
    remainder of the field continues to stay frozen.

    • Likely August 28th Democratic Primary voters.
    • Interview Dates: Monday, August 6th-Tuesday, August 7th.
    • Telephone Interviews: Live callers with 26% cells.
    • Ethnicity of Sample: 22% Cuban, 20% Other Hispanic (42% total
    Hispanic), 10% African American, 48% Anglo.
