IELTS Listening

The IELTS listening test is designed to assess test takers' ability to understand spoken English. The test is the same length and format whether taking the academic or general training module. Test takers will listen to recordings of passages or conversations and answer multiple choice questions without hearing each passage more than once. They will then have 10 minutes to transfer their answers to an answer sheet. Key preparation tips include predicting answers from question clues, identifying synonyms between questions and recordings, and using various online resources for listening practice.
