IF The Result Is Higher That 1.25 The Component Is One The IMPORTANT RED X Contributor

This document outlines steps to analyze parts and assemblies to identify issues. It involves: 1) Measuring attributes of parts called BOBs and WOWs, calculating means and ranges. 2) Assembling parts in different combinations, recording assembly results as ok or not ok. 3) Analyzing the results to determine if issues are due to individual parts or the assembly process, and identifying which parts are main contributors to problems. The goal is to swap parts and test in different orders to trace the source of any issues.

Get the BOB and the WOW from the process

Step 2
Define the Green Y which result you want to get
Step 3
Tray again the gage , measure the part or perform an assembly
PERFORM ANY OF THE ACTIVITIES ABOVE AT LEAST TWICE ALWAYS AT THE SAME POSITION AND SAME PLACE
Get the follwong recods from the test performed above

IF the result is higher that 1.25 the component is one the IMPORTANT RED X contributor
If the rate is minor than 1.25
the problem is not the part the problem should be related with the process
STEP 4
Swap the parts in a defnied order
Step 5
SWAP the componets and takereadings
Record the rsults recording OK for the GOOD assy and NOK for the BAD assy

The parts NOK always have to give us NOK parts ; even when it is assembled with a NOK COUNTER part
If the NOK part give us a GOOD Assy Result , then this should not be considered as the RED X

If the OK part gives you a NOK assy with OK counter part , the proble is in the assy process.
