DART OF SURVIVAL

 The game will be played by each team.

 The game is categorized into three; the Easy, Average, and Difficult.
 Each easy, average, and difficult questions will be given corresponding points.
o Easy (1 point)
o Average (3 points)
o Difficult (5 points)
 Each question has a time limit.
o Easy (10 seconds)
o Average (20 seconds)
o Difficult (30 seconds)
 The first team to answer the question will be given the power to decide what picture is next for
each team to answer. (Including their own team)
 If your team got the correct answer, you’ll have a chance to throw a dart into the dartboard to gain
additional points. (If you don’t hit any, don’t worry coz you still have a chance. Only up to 3
strikes)
 The team who doesn’t get the correct answer will be punished. (We will draw something in your
face using lipstick)
 The most disciplined team will gain additional points.
 The team who gained the most points will be declared soon as the winner.
 There is a price waiting for the team who will win the game.
 The rules must be followed to avoid misunderstandings.

Tips: The team must stay focus and cooperate with each other. Work as a team.
EASY (1 point each)
1. It is a set of rule that relates values from a set of values to the second set of values.
 Relation
2. It is a relation where each element in the domain is related to only one value in the range by some
rule.
 Function
3. What are the four operations on functions?
 Addition
 Subtraction
 Multiplication
 Division
4. The domain of a relation is the set of all possible values that the variable x can take.
5. It is a test which represents a function if and only if each vertical line intersects the graph at most
once.
 Vertical line test
AVERAGE (3 points each)

𝑟(𝑥) = (𝑥 + 1) , 𝑗(𝑥) = (𝑥² + 3) & 𝑐(𝑥) = 𝑥 / 1 + 2𝑥

1. 𝑟(𝑥) + 𝑗(𝑥)
 𝑥² + 𝑥 + 4
2. 𝑗(𝑥) . 𝑐(𝑥)
 𝑥² + 3𝑥 / 2𝑥 + 1
3. 𝑟(𝑥) / 𝑐(𝑥)
 2𝑥² + 3𝑥 + 1 / 𝑥

Composition on Functions

4. 𝑟(𝑥) 𝑜 𝑗(𝑥)
 𝑥² + 4
5. 𝑐(𝑥) 𝑜 𝑗(𝑥)
 𝑥 / 1 + 2𝑥 𝑜 𝑥² + 3
DIFFICULT (5 points each)
1. Who is the Cover Art Illustrator of our book General Mathematics?
 Quincy D. Gonzales
2. Who is the Layout Artist of our book General Mathematics?
 Meru Ann A. Mendaña
Decomposition
𝑓(𝑥) = 𝑥 − 5
𝑔(𝑥) = 𝑥² − 1

1. 𝑝(𝑥) = 𝑥² − 𝑥 − 4
 𝑝(𝑥) + (−𝑓(𝑥))
2. 𝑠(𝑥) = 𝑥² − 𝑥 + 4
 𝑠(𝑥) = 𝑔(𝑥) + (−𝑓(𝑥)) / 𝑓(𝑥)
3. 𝑞(𝑥) = −𝑥² + 2𝑥 − 9
 𝑞(𝑥) = − (𝑔(𝑥) + (−2𝑓(𝑥)))
