EDUCATION APPLICATION of NLP

Classroom Management :

Use power of Influence instead of Influence of Power

In the class it hardly matters if you possess high degrees, acclaims, if you don’t
create an rapport with your class. Arresting attention conforms to positive
relationship you establish with class at the very beginning ,otherwise you end
up performing a long mono-babble before blank faces. Triggering consistently
begets the teaching credentials. NLP applies in
a. Your Outcome – What you want in the class ?
b. Sensitivity – Keep your senses open to know what response you get.
c. Flexibility – Managing others expectations and accordingly tuning your pre-
suppositions.

Every student has a Unique LEARNING STYLE

For which its important to know the student's learning style. Visual learners learn
best when they see the material on a page or on a blackboard; they like
demonstrations of the material. Auditory learners learn best when they discuss
the material. Kinesthetic learners need to do projects and to be actively involved.
There are Metaprograms which determine how much routine and how much
variety a particular student needs. Does the student tend to see how things are
the same or how they are different? Is the student a global learner (who looks for
the big picture, trends, patterns, cause/effect) or a specific learner (who likes
details, facts, hard data, the bottom line)?
There are NLP techniques to help students develop balance in their learning
styles and to aid teachers in working with different kinds of students.

Affirmative Language Pattern

The basic assumption practiced here is, that every has a positive intention
behind it. Appropriate Language usage can transform negative remarks to
positive.

NLP also has methods to assist people with Attention Deficit Disorder to develop
organizational skills, the ability to focus and not be distracted, and to reduce
impulsivity, and set your personal and professional Goal .
NLP Business applications - Change management
Change seems to be a constant for businesses today. Mostly, that change is
about communication - telling people what they need to do differently. Rewriting
business processes or changing branding is easy compared to the task of
changing people's attitudes and behaviours.

Many organizations have ongoing culture change programs, trying to change

people's attitudes, but for the most part they're missing the most obvious point -
customers infer attitude from behaviour. In other words, a company's culture isn't
some ethereal, mystery quality - it's what happens when your staff's behaviour
interacts with your customers' beliefs and expectations.

The behaviour of the people in a company is an inherent part of the branding of

that company. In fact, logos and slogans are not a brand - only the service that
people deliver is a brand. If you want a demonstration of this, put on your
gardening clothes, go into a BMW dealership and ask for a test drive. The
attitude of the sales people may be out of place for a different company, but it's
part of the branding that's been cultivated over the years.

NLP can be used to plan and communicate change and to make that change
easy to achieve. The biggest problem with change in organizations is the way
that the change managers draw attention to it. The simple fact is that the majority
of people want things to stay as they are and get better - most people do not
want radical change. I've personally worked for many years in one of the fastest
changing and most turbulent industries and have been through countless major
change programs - at least one per year.

NLP Business applications - Leadership

Leaders have a number of qualities that can be developed using NLP. In fact,
many studies of leadership have been undertaken using NLP Modeling toolkit.
Leaders have at least these qualities in common:
•The ability to create a compelling vision of the future
•The ability to communicate that vision so that other people act on it
•The ability to communicate powerfully and charismatically
•The ability to set compelling and demanding goals
•An understanding of people and how to motivate them
When a quality like "leadership" is broken down into specific behaviors, you can
easily see how those behaviors map onto the tools of NLP. Many people believe
that leaders are born, and cannot be bred. Certainly, some people's upbringings
seem to give them these qualities, but with NLP any behavioral skills can be
modeled and learned.
You may be thinking that leadership (or artistry, or compassion) is more than just
a set of behavior. In fact, everything you do is 'just' behavior - your actions are
the only way that other people can learn about you. NLP recreates the paradigm
of Leadership, Professionalism, based on representations of other people's
behavior on the Timeline.
NLP Business applications - Sales

Sales is probably the area where NLP was applied first and where its use is best
know.USA is more overt in the use of many psychological influence and
persuasion techniques. NLP Techniques are used most explicitly in retail and
retail finance, especially in telesales and other volume sales markets such as
finance and home improvements.

It's very important not to confuse NLP with some of the high pressure sales
tactics that are taught in certain sales environments. NLP is the study of
excellence, the modelling of behavioural skills that lead to consistently high
results. Simple sales tactics are taught prescriptively with no room for adaptation,
so are inherently flawed. The telesales scripts used by home improvement
companies are typical of this, as they are designed for a 'numbers game'.NLP,
when applied successfully in face to face sales, is often used as a relationship
building toolkit.

NLP training results in sales people being more 'tuned in' to their customers'
states, better able to recognise and build positive states, able to ask the right
questions that shift a customer towards a decision and better able to ensure the
customer is totally happy with the buying decision.

In any case, NLP is built upon two way communication which an advert can
never be. It's probably best to think of NLP as a tool for building relationships
than a tool for influence. If you and your customers have roughly aligned goals,
NLP will help you both get what you want.

This is really 'age old' advice - if you want to help your customers get what they
want then NLP will work wonders. NLP is very effectively applied as a most
efficacious tool in Strategic or Key-Account sales management.

NLP in POLICE INVESTIGATION PROCESS

All Interrogations begin in “sync” with the witness/convict, followed with
• Composing and Asking questions
• Interrogator must be a effective Listener
• Recognizing and coping with Deception
• Verbal signals and Non-verbal signals
• Statement analysis.
Every person is a criminal unless proved otherwise sets the doctrine of Police
Investigation. However he being the part of same social fabric has to discern his
flexibility in using his legislated powers in conforming a case. The Interrogation
process involves more of Mind than mere legal collation, and hence Training of
Mind with subtle Mind tools makes the Investigation more explicit, and also keep
the Interrogator dissociated with the possible hazard to his own body and psyche
in the process.
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) plays a very effective role in every aspect
of the above Interrogation process.
