Firmware update for the DPC card reader version 1.13 and 1.24

Instructions for DPC

To load the firmware on an DPC follow one of the following methods.

Loading firmware on a machine with an UPGRADE button in the maintenance screen.

1.Insert the firmware upgrade CD into the DVD drive of the DPC.
2.Press either the top middle of the screen or the middle to enter Maintenance Mode.

3.Enter the Access code and hit OK. (The code will vary, but is 4 digits long.)
4.Press the UPGRADE button. (Actual screen may vary.)

5.When the firmware upgrade is complete, you will get a prompt that tells you if the
upgrade passed or failed. Press OK at this point.
Loading firmware on a machine with an with NO UPGRADE button in the maintenance screen

1.Insert the firmware upgrade CD into the DVD drive of the DPC.
2.Press either the top middle of the screen or the middle to enter Maintenance Mode.

3.Enter the Access code and hit OK. (The code will vary, but is 4 digits long.)

4.Press Exit.
5.Enter the Access code and hit OK. (The code will vary, but is 4 digits long.)

6.Double press the DPC icon (picture of computer)


7.Double press the CD icon (J drive).

8.Double click on the Setup file.


9.The install application will walk you through the installation.
10 When the firmware upgrade is complete you will get a prompt that tells you if the
upgrade passed or failed. Press OK at this point.
Instructions for PIC Retail and Standard PIC

Insert the update CD1 into computer system CD-ROM drive.

On the PIC Main screen, click [Setup/Maintenance]. The PIC Setup dialog box appears.

Click on the [Restore] button. The Restore Configuration dialog appears. Then click on the
select box.

The Open dialog appears. In the Drives selection area, click on the arrow down and
highlight CD drive2. In the List files of type selection area, click on the arrow down and
select Fuji Install (FujiInstall.dat). In the File name selection area, select fujiinstall.dat.

Then click the OK button.

In the Restore Configuration dialog box, confirm the following: i:\fujiinstall.dat and click
on the Ok button.

The firmware will be updated automatically. When complete you will receive a
message stating whether the update was successful. Close PIC Setup dialogue
window, and remove media containing the firmware update and continue normal
operation.

If this update was downloaded or is not on CD, insert the floppy containing the firmware update into the computers floppy
drive and substitute A: when asked to select the “CD” drive in the instructions above.
