Duties and Responsibilities as QA/QC Engineer:

1. Study and Review of Technical specification from Client, Prepare Project Construction
Procedure and work instructions specific for project requirements. Also prior to commence
fabrication, following documents and procedures used to submit to Client and Class to get
approval

2. Conduct project induction at the beginning of project and brief to all concern section about

4. Prepare welding procedure qualification based on project requirement prior to commence
welding on site.
5. Develop and qualifying new welding procedures, the activity includes preparing proposed WPS,
witness the welding and mechanical test, prepare the PQR & final WPS for class surveyor
approval.
6. Co-ordinate, Plan, Assemble, Supervise and Control all the QA/QC work assigned under the
project.
7. Verify Piping Construction Drawings update prior to Inspection and responsible for proper
management of superseded drawings.
8. Ensure all the Inspections meet the Criteria of Construction Standards, Approved Procedure &
Drawings, Client’s Specifications, and Class Rules, Codes & Regulations (DNV, BV, ABS, and
AWS D1.1).
9. Coordinate all the day to day inspection and resolve the site issues.
10. Check and Endorse Inspection record prior to issue to the Customer.
11. Ensure the Subordinates comply with Company’s Procedure and Work Instruction.
12. Assessment of the Subordinates performance.
13. Co-ordinate with the Third Party/Vendor and all NDT issue and compiling the records

15. Performed Surveillance audit, quality walk at work site by maintaining frequency of inspection
and make surveillance audit report, issuing CAR if any Non-conformity at site and perform CAR
management by using CAR log system and QAQC control management system.
16. Prepare the project final data book as per project requirements and handover to the client.

Experience in Bangladesh (Jan 2014 to Jul 2014):

Duties and Responsibilities as QC Welding Inspector:


1. Before welding prepare welding procedure specification (WPS) and arrange individual welder
qualification test as per project requirement.
2. Perform inspection of structural joint fit-up, dimensional accuracy and other welding parameters.
3. Co-ordinate, Monitor and Review of Radiographic & Ultrasonic Test report and record it.
4. After welding check finished weld appearance, weld size, weld length, check dimensional
accuracy of weldment all piping welding (in accordance with ASME B31.3).
5. Coordinate with client and sub-contractors representative on daily basis to resolve any quality
problems or issues.
6. Prepare daily fit-up, welding production report, daily NDT request report and all necessary
activities along with the required document and final project handover.

Experience in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Nov 2007 to Dec 2013):

Duties and Responsibilities as QA/QC Supervisor:

1. Supervise daily activities of 15 no’s QC Inspectors (Welding / Mechanical / Painting & Coating /
Civil / Electrical & Instrumentation / Telecommunication) as per project scope of work and
assign them daily basis as per Schedule Q requirements and site activities requirements.
2. Submits all project related procedure to clients and follow up with clients, if any comments from
clients then incorporate and resubmit it to clients.
3. Submits WPS along with request for welding procedure approval &Weld and Line description
table to clients for approval, prepare logbook for all approved WPS as per process, materials and
services to be used and maintain it.
4. Prepare two week look ahead schedule and submit to client.
5. Arrange welder qualification test and co-ordinate with Aramco approved third parties for WQT
and prepare welder/ welding operator JCC, Prepare JCC logbook and maintain it.
6. Monitor welder daily activities, prepare welder repair assessment and tracer weld report-weekly,
Weekly welder repair rate report, weekly and cumulative weld status report and submit weekly
basis to client.
7. Maintain a logbook for all ARAMCO RTFI assessments and place them in proper way to make
easy access for any future clarification by client and resolved any NDT related issue by
coordinating with NDT third party.
8. Supervise Gasket installation and Bolt Tightening activities.
9. Monitoring cold pipe bending as per SAES and maintain pipe bending records.
10. Arrange pressure gauge, relief valve, pressure recorder and temperature recorder as per hydro
test requirements. Prepare a logbook for all calibration certificates and maintain record.

Witnessing calibration of pressure gauge and relief valve in Aramco approved project calibration
lab.
11. Arrange and monitor valve field hydrostatic test also maintain log sheet for tested, accepted and
rejected valve and maintain valve delivery status to site.
12. Co-ordinate with construction team for internal cleaning of pipe lines and piping.
13. Co-ordinate with construction team for internal gauging of pipe lines and select the gauging plate
as per pipe size. Keep record for each string that was internal gauged and the results or findings
14. Preparation and review of Hydro Test packages. Submits hydro test package to client for
approval.
15. Communicate with construction team to close “A” punch prior to commence hydro static test.
16. Collect daily basis all quality documents (SAIC, SATR) from QC Inspector and submits daily
basis to clients for approval and signature.
17. Arrange weekly Quality tool box meeting with QC Inspectors (both client approved and non-
approved personnel) on how to avoid nonconformance in project.
18. If any NCR and Violation from clients, then performing root cause analysis for the same and co-
ordinate with project QA/QC manager for quality deficiencies and non-conformances to prepare
Corrective Action Report (CAR) and submit the same to clients.
19. Prepare ARAMCO NCR & internal NCR logbook and maintain it.
20. Attend weekly construction meeting with Construction team and subcontractor representatives.
21. Attending weekly construction meeting with Client and update quality issue in Minutes of
meeting (MOM).
22. Update quality part in weekly CQI (Contractor Quality Indicator), MOM (Minutes of Meeting)
or Construction Progress Meeting and Monthly QMR (Quality Management Report) and submit
to Clients.
23. Supervise different type of Lay-up activities as per project requirements.
24. Co-ordinate with construction team to close MCC YES and NO punch items.

Duties and Responsibilities as Welding Inspector (Pipeline & Plant Piping):


1. To undertake supervision, inspection and field engineering activities on behalf of company in the
area of welding and ensure that these work are implemented in accordance with the project
Inspection plan and engineering updated drawing.
2. Before welding check welding procedure specification (WPS) and arrange individual welder
qualification test as per project requirement (qualification in accordance with API 1104/Section
IX of ASME).
3. Ensure all welding equipment is Calibration as per BS 7570 and maintain calibration log for all
inspection and testing equipments.
4. Periodically check the electrode backing, storage and maintain electrodes issuance and issuance
log and ensure correct oven temperature.
5. Prepare and check the quantity and quality of the welding consumables to meet the requirement
of the Project.
6. Before welding also check Base/Filler material condition, Bevel/Root face, Root gap,
Squareness, Plumbness, Preheat, Welding environment, Internal misalignment (in accordance
with API 1104 for Pipeline and ASME B 31.3 for Plant/Process piping).
7. During welding check welding variables for compliance with welding procedure and check
interpass cleaning, portable oven temperature, Welding current & Voltage, Travel Speed,
interpass temperature, shielding gas flow rate, back purging value and weaving.

8. To provide technical guidance of welder for welding Position, Progression, weaving as per
approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) and how to distortion control (by using
Backstep or Cascade welding method) of spools in accordance with procedure and job
requirements.
9. After welding inspection of finished weld appearance, weld size and length, squareness and
visual inspection performedas per project inspection plan.
10. Prepare daily fit-up, welding production report, daily NDT request report and all necessary
activities along with the required document (project specifications and/or ITP`s),and submits
Quality documents to QC Supervisor and/or QC-QA Manager.
11. Co-ordinate, monitor and arrange nondestructive test and record it.
12. Monitor % of NDT (RT, AUT, MT, PT) line and welder wise as per SAES-W-011 & 012 (Saudi
Aramco Engineering Standard)
13. Check NDT requirement and co-ordinate with NDT third party for weld joints clearance and
maintains SAEP-1160database (Tracking System of Weld summary, Welder performance,
Welding process, Nondestructive test) daily basis.
14. Monitor welder daily activities, Prepare weekly welder performances report and welding repairs
rate report /cumulative weld status report and submit weekly basis to clients.
15. Arrange weekly quality control tool box meeting with welder how to reduce weld joints rejection
rate and provide technical guidance of welder how to control distortions of spools.
16. Prepare quality reports/records and other quality related document submit daily basis to client
and final project handover.
17. Issued NCR’S when nonconformity activities noted.

Duties and Responsibilities as a Mechanical Inspector (Pipeline & Plant Piping):


1. Perform inspection and check of all material receiving-Structures, Pipes, Elbows. Sockets,
Flanges, Seal & Gaskets, Spectacle plate, Welding consumables (Electrodes & Filler metals),
grinding discs, Valves (Gate Valves, Globe Valves, Check Valves, Ball Valves, Plug Valves,
Relief Valves) as per project approved drawings and Engineering Standards.
2. Prepare Valves Hydro Package and Conduct Valve Hydro test according Valves
Material/Class as per API 598.
3. Perform inspection For Underground Pipeline Stringing & Pipe lying before start welding
activity as per SAIC-L-2132.
4. Prepared Pipeline & Plant Piping Hydro test package and marked test limit on piping and
instrument drawing (P&ID) also Hydrostatic Test diagram.
5. Arrange Co-ordinate and witness inspection of calibration of Pressure Gauge and Relief valves
as per SATR-A-2002 and SATR-A-2006.
6. Review of hydro test package check all Daily production report, NDT reports, Weld maps,
Pressure gauge and Relief Valve Certificate, Temperature & Pressure Recorder Certificate,
Water analysis report, Test manifold report, Bolt tightening report, Hydrostatic test
diagram(HYD) and piping and instrument drawing (P&ID).
7. Before Hydro test perform inspection of Valve orientation, Valve Installation and flow direction
as per SAIC-L-2043.
8. Before Hydro test Perform Inspection of Bolted Flange joint assembly & Gasket Verification of
all Spiral wound gaskets and Pikotek per SAIC-L-2014 & SATR-L-2001.
9. Before Hydro test perform Pre-Hydrostatic punch list work through Inspection according to test
package and make pre-test punch list as per SAIC-L-2139.

10. Perform Inspection of all types of Hydro Test that is 2hr for above ground piping and 24hr for
buried Pipeline.
11. After hydro test checked final piping punch listing (piping re-instatement) and finally submit
hydro test package to clients.
12. Prepare daily report and all necessary activities along with the required document (project
specifications and/or ITP`s), and submits Quality documents to QC Supervisor and/or QC-QA
Manager.
13. Issued NCR’S when nonconformity activities noted.
