Introduction and Basic Knowledge
Initiated by @LastSoftware in 1999, acquired by Google in 2006. Google Sketchup announced in 2007 following by
Google Earth and Google 3D Warehouse. It was divided into two version Make and Pro, but recently it is categorized as free and
pro version. Since 2012, Google Sketchup was acquired by Trimble Navigation, and made a significant change to the software
including removing Google's identity.
In short, Sketchup is a 3D based modeling program, allowing the creation, viewing, and manipulation of 3D objects.
Used by architects, engineers, game developers, interior and industrial designers, common mass.
The main idea behind Sketchup which makes it different to other 3D modeling software is DESIGNED TO BE EASY
