SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH IV

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of our 45 minute period class,
 The students should be able to identify adjectives.
 The students should be able to write a 5-7 sentence paragraph using
adjectives.

B. Motivation
Present a picture to the class and ask the students to describe the picture.
C. Lesson Proper
1. Presentation of the lesson
Adjective is a word that describes a word or a noun. It is used to qualify a
noun or noun phrase, giving more information about the object signified.
2. Development of the lesson
Read the sentences written on the board and identify the adjectives in each
sentence.
a. Ayne is pretty.
b. Jhanina has a long hair.
c. Rose has big eyes.
Read the sentences written on the board and fill in the missing adjective to
complete the sentence.

b. Carlos is a very ______ man.
c. Australia is a ________ country.
D. Generalization
What is an adjective?
E. Application
The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups. Each group will be tasked to
describe the Mother Earth in 5 sentences. Each group will choose a representative
to share their answers to the class.

IV. EVALUATION
Identify the adjective found in each sentence. Encircle the letter of the correct
answer.
1. Kai caught the red ball.
2. The cat found a large stick.
3. Jennie likes to ride in fast cars.
4. Suzy saw a little mouse.

V. ASSIGNMENT
On a one whole sheet of paper, write a 5 sentence paragraph describing your last
summer vacation.
