domain

6. Briefly describe Harmonic Mean filter.
7. Compare first order derivative based filter with second order
derivative based filter.
8. Briefly explain chain codes.
9. Define Dilation and Closing operations
10. How do you detect a point in an image?

11. Why derivative based filters are important? Derive the matrix
for Laplacian filter.

12. Derive Hadamard transform matrix for 8-points. What do you


mean by sequency in a transform matrix? Show sequency
order in Hadamard transform matrix.
13. Explain why frequency domain filters are effective for periodic
noise removal. Describe Band Reject and Notch Filters for
reducing periodic noise.

14. What do you mean by segmentation? Explain different region


based segmentation methods.

15. What are the steps for image enhancement in frequency


domain? Describe different frequency domain low pass filters.
