Magic Square Project

Using Gauss's method, multiples of 10 from 10 to 90 were arranged in a 3x3 square such that the sum of each row, column and diagonal equaled 150. The magic number 150 was obtained by summing all the numbers (900), dividing by 2 (450) and then dividing by 3. This created a magic square with a magic number of 150.

Magic Square Project

 Use Gauss’s method to create a Magic Square

The numbers I selected were multiples of 10 all the way to 90.

S1: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90

S2: +90
100
The sum of all numbers is 900, Making the Magic Number 150
By adding all multiples of 10 you get 900, then divide the number in half which gives you 450, then divide
that number by3 which gives you the Magic Number of 150.
Ex: 10+20+30+40+50+60+70+80+90=900
900/2=450 450/3= 150
By doing this method you will realize each line, column, and diagonal line will amount to the total of 150

80 10 60

30 50 70

40 90 20
