Engr. Alimuin gave a speech to a technopreneurship class about using trademarks to prove ownership of original ideas and prevent others from copying work. Trademarks can include unique logos and methods of production. The speech also discussed how film producers can alter written works, like books, when adapting them into movies, as long as they have the writer's approval. Overall, the topic was about preventing plagiarism and ensuring credit is given where credit is due for great ideas. After the speech, the class presented pitches which received feedback from Engr. Martinez on ways to improve.

In our technopreneurship class Engr. Alimuin gave a speech about trademarks of how it should be used
in order to prove that’s it your original idea so that no one could copy what you has done. That no one
could take advantage of the idea that you’ve think of. That the product that you’ve made should be
having a unique logo and methods in creating it. Like the example that was given by Engr. Alimuin. It’s
about how to film creator pays for the writer to change the story of the book in order to create a movie
about it. That the producer or buyer has the right to alter what was written on the book, because he has
the writers approval to change the story. To summarize it all the topic is about plagiarism. That no one
should take someone’s idea or ownership in order for his own good. That the prize of a great idea will be
awarded not to the owner but to the individual that used it. After the speech our group pitched. Engr.
Martinez commented on our speech about the things that we should improve that will help us to have a
great pitch.
