School Tour E-mail:
Well done to all of the boys and girls who represented the school with distinction at the two school tour venues last

School Reports
Everyone should have received their school reports by now. If any parents would like to talk to their class teachers
or myself, please get in touch with the school.
Homework Club & Booklist & Calendar
Homework Club has now finished for the year. Booklists for next year have been distributed to everyone today plus
they will be put on the school website. Next year’s school calendar is on our website.
Parents Association School Picnic
The school picnic will be on tonight at 6.30pm. There will be loads of fun activities for all ages. Some parents are not
on the WhatsApp Group. Please let the Parents’ Association know if you want your number to be put on the
circulation list.
School Photograph
Quaid Gallery are coming into the school next Tuesday, 19th of June to take the school and class photos (which some
of you have already paid for). Please ensure that ALL PUPILS WEAR THEIR FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM NEXT
TUESDAY.

5th & 6th class – Streamscapes Visit tomorrow Friday 15th of June
WHAT CHILDREN NEED
1. Footwear for water, either wellies, water shoes or old runners.
2. Shorts would be ideal but children should bring a change of clothes and 2 pairs of spare socks.
3. Hi-viz vest.
6th Class Graduation
The 6th class graduation will take place next Tuesday at 6.30pm in the school.

Sports for next week


There will be no hurling next Thursday as 3rd & 4th class will be participating in the Parish Blitz in Ballyanly. Can
children be dropped up to Ballyanly for 9am please (don’t forget hurley, helmet, shin guards, boots and gum shields).
We will organise a bus to bring the kids back to school. We organise permission slips and ask for €5 per child for the
bus next week.
We will be having our on school sports day on Thursday the 21st as well.

End of year competitions


3rd to 6th class will be participating in an in school chess and table quiz competition next week as a recognition of the
fine work that has been put into these areas during the year. Good luck to all involved.

Policies
Thanks to those who responded to our Acceptable Usage Policy Survey, there was a very high response. The newly
ratified policy is now on the school website along with Data Protection Policy, Privacy Statement and revised Code of
Behaviour. Other existing policies are also online.

No Uniform Day
The school will break for the summer holidays next Friday 22nd of June at 12noon. We will have a no-uniform day
for Niamh Dorney, past pupil, who is going to India next year. Please bring in a small donation for Niamh’s
collection.

There will be no Thursday Note next week however we are hoping to get out an end of year newsletter next week
instead.
