Setting Up Windows Network Time Server (NTP)
a. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
b. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters\Type
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Config\AnnounceFlags
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpServer
4. Restart the Network Time Service and set the Startup Type as Automatic
a. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
b. Scroll down to the Windows Time service and right click and then restart the service.
c. After the service is restarted, right click again, select Properties and change the Startup Type to
“Automatic”
5. Allow access to the Windows Firewall for the NTP default port: UDP port 123
