M.Tech ADMISSION NOTICE


Applications are invited from candidates for admission to following M.Tech. programs at this
University:
M.Tech Program in:
1. Thermal & Fluids Engineering 2. Manufacturing Engineering
3. Environmental Engineering 4. Chemical Engineering
5. Computer Engineering 6. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
7. Power System

Eligibility: The candidates applying for M.Tech. Programs except Environmental Engineering
should have passed B.E./B.Tech. degree examination in relevant discipline with minimum 55%
marks. However, the candidates applying for Environmental Engineering should have passed
B.E/B.Tech.degree examination with minimum 55% marks in any one of the disciplines of Civil,
Chemical, Mechanical, Petrochemical and Polymer & Plastic Engineering or M.Sc. degree
examination having specialization in Chemistry, Botany, Geology, Zoology, Physics, Microbiology
or Environmental Science. Seats are available for regular and sponsored categories.
Seats: Seats in each program under different categories are given along with the application form.
Fees: Tuition fees will be Rs.25,000/- per year. In addition, other fees Rs.12,930/- per year will be
charged, which includes development fund, laboratory fee, library fee, examination fee etc.
However, the candidates will have to pay the fees prevailing at the time of joining.

Scholarship / Teaching Assistantship: The duration of the programs will be two years.
Candidates having valid GATE score are entitled for PG scholarship of Rs.5000/- p.m. depending on
funding from AICTE. For non-GATE candidates, teaching assistantships will be provided to the
deserving candidates at Rs.2500/- p.m.
Accommodation: Bachelor hostel accommodation will be provided on the university campus
depending on availability.
Procedure of Selection: There will be a written test and interview for admission. Syllabus for the
written test will be the same as GATE syllabus of respective discipline. Candidates having valid
GATE score are exempted from written test. Written test and interview will be held in the university
on 18th July 2009, Saturday at 11.30 am.
• Application form: Application form can be downloaded from the website: www.dbatechuni.org
. Filled application form with photocopies of documents can be brought by candidate at the time
of interview. Alternately, candidate may fill the application form at the time of interview and
attach a set of photocopies of the documents. Candidates should also bring original
documents at the time of interview for verification and recent photograph for affixing on
application form.
• Application fee: All completed application forms must accompany a DD of Rs.500/- in favour
of ‘Registrar, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University’ payable at SBI Mangaon
(Branch Code 0276). Candidate can also pay the application fee in cash / bankers cheque at
the time of interview.
• Sponsored category candidate having minimum two years of experience should bring
sponsorship certificate from the employer in the format provided with the application form.
