Lesson Plan Present Continuous

Lesson Plan-Present Continuous

T writes on the board the date, Thursday 2nd March 2018


and the objective of the class: talking about actions in this
moment, now.
Lead-in: T greets Ss then ask them what they are doing in
orther to brainstorm ideas. Using a chant: Sit-sitting-I’m
sitting on a chair. T mimes the action verbs then Ss do the
actions with the T. T asks the Ss about what they are
doing. Ss answer.
Answers: I am listening to music.
-T writes on the board Ss’s answers. T makes Ss drill.
-T then gives examples of negatives, miming the action:
I’m not sitting on the chair. I’m listening to music And so
on.
- T elicits answers about what they remember about the
verb to be: I am, you are, she is…
-T writes some verbs on the board as a list and next to
them they must add: ing to them: listen
-Shows pictures of different people and asks them about
what they are doing. i.e. S/he is writing…
- T reviews about yes/no answers. i.e. are you Peruvian?
Yes, I am. Is CR Brazilian? No, he’s not. T hand in or shows
some pics with questions in ing.T explains that short
answers for ing are the same: is she dancing? Is he
reading a book?
-Ss present an interview using the cards.
