School Regulations

The school regulations are based on the Statute of Szczecin Academy of International
Learning, herinafter named „ the school”.

I School Organisation
1. The School’s conducting authority is Sail Sp. Z o. o. (limited company) registered at al.
Wojska Polskiego 195/2, 71-325 Szczecin, tel. 691-118-555, heinafter named „SAIL
Ltd”, represented by the governing head Joshua James.

2. The supervision of teachers and students at the school is conducted by the Head
Teacher Sawa Sawaszkiewicz.

3. Students should be picked up from school by their parents or a designated and


authorized in writing carer. As the student is collected, the supervising teacher should
always be informed.

4. For a child to leave school on their own, a written, and signed by the parent,
permission slip must first be submitted to the School Secretary.

5. School lessons begin in the morning at 8:45 and end at 15:25. Organisation of lessons
and breaks throughout the day are defined by the lesson plan which is displayed on
the school corridor and available on the school website.

6. The school’s Day Care Centre provides before and after school care for children
between the hours of 7:30-8:45 in the morning and 15:25-17:00 in the afternoon.
Parents who would like their children to be looked after by the school within these
hours should first submit to the school secretary a Day Care Centre application slip.
Students should be collected from the Day Care Centre at the latest by 17:00. Parents
who collect their children any later will be charged an additional fee of 35zł with the
beginning of each extra hour the child stays at school.

7. Transport to the swimming pool is provided by the school. The school does not
provide transport from the swimming pool and parents are responsible for collecting
their children after swimming. If parents fail to collect their children in good time after
swimming, the school may charge parents a fee of 35zł at the beginning of every
additional hour the child is left in the care of a school’s teacher at the swimming pool.

8. Parents/teacher meetings on an individual or group basis take place on specific dates


organised according to the school calendar.

9. In the case of any particularly difficult learning/disciplinary or behavioural situations


concerning students the school head teacher will contact the parents by phone or in
writing.
II Student rights and responsibilities

1. The Student’s rights, responsibilities and obligations are defined by the Szczecin
Academy of International Learning Statute.

2. Every student’s absence must be accounted for and a written and signed absence
note should be submitted to the school’s office. Parents should report a student’s
absence to the student’s form teacher or school secretary by phone on the first day of
the student’s absence.

3. A period of absence that exceeds 2 weeks should be first agreed with the school
Head Teacher.

4. For their own safety, students should listen to and obey the instructions of their
teachers and the school’s staff at all time.

5. The School is not liable for the loss or damage of a student’s mobile phone.

6. The school provides students with student identification cards. If a card is lost or
damaged, the cost of a replacement is 10zł.

III. School Fees and Payment Obligations

1. Parents/Carers agree to a yearly learning contract with the school.

2. The school’s tuition fee and other expenses are established by the SAIL Ltd
governing board

3. The tuition fee is payed each month for 12 months to a year (from September to
August the following year).

4. Monthly payment of the tuition fee is paid in advance to the 10th of a given month.

5. Starting from the 11th of a given Month, interest will be charged on late payments of
the tuition fee (according to statutory rates).

6. If a parent/carer chooses to discontinue the student’s learning during the school year,
they should submit a written letter of resignation and submit it to the school Head
Teacher, with 3 months of notice, prior to their child leaving.

10. If a student resigns from the school, no payments made to the school are refundable.

11. On request by parents/carers, the school provides students with school dinners of
which the cost is covered by the student’s parents/carers.
