How to convent the .PCB Protel designer files into gerber file.

Operation steps
1.Open y our . PCB design files o n P rotel so ftware, check the integrity o f the files. Here used a n ex ample .PCB file a s an example.

2.F ind the menu “File” , select to "New" option. Then left-click it.

3.The “ New Document” pa ge will be occur. In “New Do cument” pa ge we suggest to s elect follo wing optio n. We used purple arrows to ma rked it.

Selecting th e default options.

In Output Wizard page, choos e the Gen erates Gerber files op tion then left click next option.

Now, you can named your file n ame.

Jus t select default options fo r the following 2 pages are ok.

In the Men u of Plot layers, ch oose "used on" option an d needn 't ch oose an y option for Mirror layers.

The following three pages are also can s elect default option s.

Yo u can select machanical 1 , 13 or 15 if there are some co nten ts in you r machanical lay er.

Then the final page will app ear, left click th e "Finis h" o ption.

Ex cep t of d rill file, all the gerber files are finis hed.

4.Right click the cam pag e blank a rea then left click Insert NC Drill.

The NC Drill s etup page will app ear, we su ggest to choo se Supress leading zero option .

Pressing F9, all th e cam files are expo rt.

Finally, you need to expo rt the gerber files to you r s pecified fold er.Left click the "CAM fo r PCB" then righ t click it.

Yo u can find the ex port option, left click it th en mo ve th e files to you r s pecified fold er.

Yo u can checkin g these files on gerber viewer CAM3 50 o r onlin e gerber v iewer web site.
