The Mechanical Is The Power Input To The Pump Shaft or On Other Words Power Output From

The document discusses the piping connections for an auxiliary pump used in a sump. A hose connects the sump outlet to the auxiliary pump inlet. Another hose runs from the auxiliary pump outlet to a manifold. The manifold outlet drains into a hydraulic bench for water collection. Figure 1 shows the proper piping configuration.

The single pump receives its water directly from the sump.

The sump drain outlet is

located next to the built-in bench pump. A hose should extend between the sump and
the auxiliary pump. The hose is attached to both the sump outlet and the auxiliary
pump inlet. Next, a hose continues from the auxiliary pump to the manifold. Make
sure manifold outlet drains down into hydraulic bench for water collection. Figure 1
shows the proper piping connections.

The mechanical power (pi or Nm) = 2Tw in [W]

Where T is torque and w = 30 𝑓 and 𝑓 will be at 3000 rpm
The mechanical is the power input to the pump shaft or on other words power output from
the motor.

For hydraulic power Po(Nh) = *Q*Hp = [N/m3] *[m3/s] *[m] = [N-m/s] = [J/s] = [W]
Where

Hp or (Ht) is total head, Q is Flow rate and  ‫كتبها مزون مااندلو اسمها‬

Hydraulic power Po(Nh) is the power out from the pump or power imparted to the fluid.

Total Head: HP = (pressure head at pump 2 outlet - pressure head at pump 1 inlet)/

For a pump, the efficiency is defined as

 = Po(Nh)/Pi(Nm)
