Read Sections 3-1 and 3-2 in Chapter 3 (pp. 51-54), Section 7-4 (pp. 150-152) in Chapter 7 and Section
8-1 in Chapter 8 (pp. 163-165).

In Section 7-4 focus on the mass balance when the total concentration is known, we will not work mass
balance equations where the total concentration is not known.
