Strengths of the lesson:

 Very nice positive start with song and enthusiasm


 Very good rapport with the students
 Children engaged and well behaved
 Very good eye contact
 Very good English
 Nice activities on the carpet to present and practice ‘h’ sound
 Good to get each child to practice saying and drawing (say writing) h
 Very nice positive feedback
 Good to get them to read the word ‘hot’ but this excited them a bit
 Much better length of time for circle time
Areas for development:

 Don’t let the children shout out – make them raise their hands and be very strict about this
as they are shouting for attention, even one screamed  and many were saying me, me, me.
This should be your focus for the next lesson
 Make the children sit on their bottoms during circle time to prevent them moving forward –
you still need to do this. You did tell them to go back once or twice but you need to insist on
it - this goes with the point above
 It’s lovely that the children are so eager to participate but you really need to do something
about the shouting out
