Background
JLT India is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Jardine Matheson owned, Jardine Lloyd
Thompson group (JLT). The JLT group is in the business of Employee Benefits and
Insurance Broking and has its presence through owned companies in over 36 countries
and through a network its presence is in over 100 countries.
The Firm The Group was formed in February 1997 by the merger of Jardine Insurance Brokers and
Lloyd Thompson Group. Lloyd Thompson was founded in 1981 and listed on the London
Stock Exchange in October 1987. The merger combined Lloyd Thompson's specialist skills
in the London Market with Jardine Insurance Broker's international network which
included a significant presence in the Asia Pacific region.
Group Business Process Management (GBPM) is the internal consulting function for JLT
group with direct reporting to the Group COO in London. This function provides advisory
and program management support to the operating group companies across the JLT
group. Key service lines within Group BPM function are as follows:
1. Business Architecture - Provide advice to operating group companies on strategy,

methodology; conduct process audits to ensure standardization and reduced
operational risk
3. Programme Office - Provide programme management for large scale change
programs across business, technology, M&A and post-merger integration
Role Description
The certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (LSS MBB) will serve as an advisor/consultant to
provide customer driven oriented results and process improvement activities using LSS
strategies. The LSS MBB will be responsible for analysis, facilitation, LSS trainings, mentoring,
project reporting and providing recommendations for process improvements that will improve
quality, reduce costs and establish appropriate process metrics and improve process controls.
Essential Requirements:
Role - Work in coordination with the senior leadership on project identification, selection,
Requirements and prioritization.
- Train and coach project sponsors to drive project execution. Train and coach LSS
Black Belts and Green Belts through project execution leading up to certification.
o Conduct classroom instruction for Black Belt and Green Belt courses as well
as Executive/Project Sponsor Workshop, Project Identification and Selection
Workshop.
o Classroom instruction includes the use of elaborate simulations, PowerPoint
presentations and associated materials (flipcharts/whiteboard). Instruction
can also include the use of BPR, Minitab and quality tools.
- Lead the execution of enterprise-level LSS projects.
- Identify opportunities for enhancements in the way we work, and build a business
case for change
- Conduct Business Process Reviews (BPR) using Lean methodology
- Provide superior solution development through detailed analysis, identification of
alternate delivery mechanisms and recommendation of preferred Lean Six-Sigma
approaches
- Ensure benefit delivery as per financial and non-financial targets in individual and
managed projects through effective implementation and change management
- Lead, motivate, counsel, develop and coach operational managers, business stakeholders,
other project resources on Black Belt & Green Belt Lean Six-Sigma curriculum.

Sigma, BPR of at least a trained Master Black Belt level

Preferred candidate profile
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas
- Certified Black Belts/ Incumbents performing Master Black Belt Roles currently
(mandatory)
- Completed minimum two strategic level BB projects with measurable results.
- Conducted LSS BB trainings as a lead trainer.
Experience - Lean Expert
- Working with offshore / remote teams
- Multi-cultural stakeholder engagement
- Experience in large transformation / change management initiatives
- Demonstrated track record of benefit delivery
- Exposure to Insurance broking / employee benefits businesses will be a plus.
- Manage ISO 9001 audits and certifications
Education
- Preferred Engineer + MBA from a leading business school
Qualifications in the following technical areas will be of added advantage
Qualifications - LEAN expert, DFSS, BPR
- Project Management, PMP certification
- Trained on TRIZ
- Very good knowledge of MINITAB and other statistical tools.
- ISO 9001 certified auditor
- CMMI
Note 1: Candidate should be willing to travel internationally multiple times a year for up to 3-4 weeks at a time
