process. It talks about the medical evidence, facts and sociological data of womens who

experience abortion and the side effects it create for them. It also shows how abortion harms

women's physically, psychologically, relationally and culturally.

This article is a good source and i will used it for me research paper. It provides facts and

evidence of how abortion affect women's both physically and psychologically. This will help to

elaborate more on the effects sides of abortion. Since abortion become the leading causes of

mental illness.

Coomson, Emmanuel K. "Unsafe Abortions."SIRS Issues Researcher, 14 Oct, 2013,

https://sks.sirs.com.

In summary of “abortion” from AllAfrica Global Media database, there are many types of

abortion procedures performed on women which are done unsafe and as a result it is the leading
cause of many maternal deaths. Women who undergoes these harmful procedures developed

many health complication such lower abdominal pains and vaginal discharges for the rest of their

life.

This source is a very good reference because it gave me an idea about how women decide to

undergo harmful abortion procedures. This will help me to know the kinds of procedures used on

women when they are doing abortion and what are some of the side effects and complication

after they abort their babies.

Dutton, Sarah. "Pro-Choice: Abortion Controversy." University Wire, 04 Feb, 2016, SIRS

Issues

Researcher, https://sks.sirs.com.

In summary of “abortion” the pro-choice people advocates to legalized abortion as they believe

in that, a women has right on her body and can undergo abortion processes if the pregnancy is

creating health issue problems for her. They also believe that women can abort their babies in

the case of financial needs, incest and rape situation. According to The Journal of the American

Medical Association, a fetus does not have the capability of sensing pain due to the fact that their

neural development has not yet matured enough for a connection between the cerebral cortex and

thalamus to allow the fetus an acknowledgement of pain. So therefore, pro- choice leaders

believe aborting a fetus prior to the third trimester prevents both physical or psychological pain

to the fetus and is completely legal.

This article is a good source because it stated the viewpoints of people who are in favor for

abortion. So far reading this article gave me an eye opener on how pro-choice people feel about

abortion and how they also legalized abortion.. I could use this source to talk about how

pro-choice advocates have made bad choices by using intimidation and violence to persuade

women from getting abortions.

Enriquez, Lauren. "Pro-Life, but Left Out." New York Times, 27 Feb, 2017, pp. A.21, SIRS

Issues Researcher, https://sks.sirs.com

Abortion is a story where many people have different viewpoints and opinions about whether a

fetus has a right to life or a women have the desire to do whatever she feels to do on her body.

Abortion as many adults and teens try to attempt to it ,Lauren Enriquez try to make an argument

by stating a question that when does life begins? This determine factors regarding whether or

not an unborn-child is considered to be truly alive will no longer hinge upon their mother’s

desires to keep the child or not.

This article is a very good source because it helps me to known the important terms

about abortion, statistics number of teens and adults do abortion every year and leading

causes and effects of abortion. This will guide me through my research paper and will

even give me a broad ideas of what abortion is shaping people's lives in the united states

and other neighboring countries . The focus of my research paper is to figure out whether

teens and adults should do abortion or not and if so what are the consequences behind it.

Reading this article gives me a hint of how abortion is creating many medical problem
for teens and adults and the same time affecting the population.

Foster, Serrin M. "The Feminist Case Against Abortion." America, Jan, 2015, pp. 14+. SIRS

Issues Researcher, https://sks.sirs.com.

In summary of this article, it discussed how "Abortion betrays the basic feminist principles of

nonviolence, nondiscrimination and justice for all. It talks about how , feminism is a philosophy

that embraces basic rights for all human beings without exception--without regard to race,

religion, sex, size, age, location, disability or parentage. Feminism rejects the use of force to

dominate, control or destroy anyone.

This article is a good source and i will used it for my research paper. This article will help me to

talk about how feminist fight to put an end to abortion and also to protects the life of an unborn

child. I can also talk about how is a women’s right to keep their unborn babies safe no matter

what happens because they deserve the right to live like any other human.

Foner, Eric, and John A. Garraty. Abortion. The Reader's Companion to American History,

1991. SIRS Issues Researcher, https://sks.sirs.com.

In summary of the “History of Abortion” "Abortion has been practiced in the United States since

the founding of the Republic, but both its social character and its legal status have varied

considerably. Through the early decades of the nineteenth century, Americans regarded abortion

primarily as the recourse of women wronged by duplicitous suitors or pregnant as the result of
illicit relationships, though records exist of married women having abortions. Americans

tolerated the practice, which had long been legal under colonial common law and remained legal

under American common law, provided the pregnancy was terminated before quickening: the

first perception of fetal movement by the woman. Quickening generally occurs near the midpoint

of gestation.

I would use this article in my research paper. I could use this source in order to explain why

some people feel as if legalized abortions do more good than harm since when they were illegal,

thousands of women would harm themselves in attempts to abort the baby. I could also use this

source in my introduction and discuss the timeline of how abortions used to be, how they are

now, and what factors got them to this point. This article has not changed my personal views on

abortion, but it helps me get a better understanding of why some people do support them.

Kohl, Nina, and others. "Pro-Life Democrats: We'Re here, we'Re Sincere. Get used to it." Tikkun

(Vol.20, No.3), 2005, pp. 14-21, SIRS Issues Researcher, https://sks.sirs.com.

In summary of “abortion” this article discussed the controversial issue dragging Democrat in the

heartland. The two political parties where in leading conflicts about whether abortion should be

legalize or not. During the presidential campaign the republicans say that people should not for

a candidate who won't protect life .

This will help me to know some of the political viewpoint towards abortion. I could also used

this source to talk about how the republicans are trying to threaten the democrats on the side of

abortion during politics.

Ross, Timberly. "Neb. Lawmakers Discuss Fetal Pain Abortion Bill." Grand Island Independent

(Grand Island, NE), 25 Feb, 2010. SIRS Issues Researcher, https://sks.sirs.com.

In summary of “abortion” this article discussed that a group of lawmakers punishes to make

Nebraska the first state to outlaw most abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy can not be

terminated base on the argument that a fetus feel pain during the abortion procedures. The

supreme court of 2007 also made a decision upholding on a ban of late term abortion.what

abortion rights opponents call partial-birth abortions, in which a fetus is partially removed from

the woman's womb and then destroyed, the Nebraska legislators are seeking to ban all late-term

abortions except when the mother's life is threatened. If the bill were to pass--and it's unclear it

would--it would surely face a court challenge and could end up in front of the Supreme Court.

Siefer, Ted. "NH Fetal Homicide Bill Vetoed." Union Leader (Manchester), 19 June, 2012, pp.

A.1. SIRS Issues Researcher, https://sks.sirs.com.

In summary of “ Fetal Homicide Bill” this article talks about the controversy concerning

whether or not it should be considered homicide when a fetus is murdered due to a tragic

accident or crime. People who support this law, say that there are two lives, the mother and the

unborn child, who should receive justice. People who do not support this law state that the

mother is the only victim because she is the only viable person. The issue in this debate is if it is

considered homicide when a crime is committed, why isn't it considered murder when an

abortion takes place?

This article is useful because it gave two sides of the argument of whether or not should it be

considered homicide when a fetus is kill due to crime. The goal of this article is to present both

sides of the argument concerning the topic. This article is helpful because it give me more

information concerning how fetus is considered to be part of homicide. This will give me more

things to disagree with and argue about in my paper as they all result to the dead of a baby.

Waltman, Kyle. "Pro-Life: Abortion Controversy." University Wire, 04 Feb, 2016, SIRS Issues

Researcher, https://sks.sirs.com.

In summary of “abortion”the pro-life controversy advocates not to legalized abortion.

Pro-Life person's perspective that life at conception, conceiving a zygote after sexual

intercourse, would make someone a parent and responsible for someone else's life . They

believe that is no longer a desire for a woman to keep their baby or not but must respect

and value human life.According to the Endowment for Human Development, between
three and four weeks after conception, an unborn-child's heart begins to beat, and roughly

nine and a half weeks after conception, babies will respond to sound, yawn and suck their

thumbs.

This article is helpful and i will probably used it for my research paper. I could use it when I

wanted to defend how abortion was wrong by ending the the life of an innocent child. . The fetus

has a heartbeat, brain activity, cell function and growth. This article hasn't changed my

perspective on abortions, it has only strengthened why I believe they are wrong.

Wellisch, Lawren, and lie Chor. "Adolescent Girls and Abortion." Pediatric annals, Sep, 2015,

pp. 384+, SIRS Issues Researcher, https://sks.sirs.com

This article provides me some of the pros and cons of abortion and gave me the age

category and estimated percent number of teens and adults who attempt to do abortion in

the united states and also explains the different types and methods of abortion available

to teens and adult desire to an unwanted pregnancy. The most thing that i like about this

source is that, it gives me an overview of the reasons of why many teens and adults try to

abort their unborn babies whether it might be financial issues or school and career

difficulties. So this will help me to choose which view-points am i going to used for my

research paper.
The information from this source is reliable.. It discusses the issues that how the

partial-birth abortion ban bills were passed by the supreme lawmakers. I would use this

source for in my paper. I could discuss how partial birth abortions are a type of abortion,

in the third trimester and discuss its ban. I could use this source to talk by using

intimidation and violence to persuade women from getting abortions, as a result of this

ban. But I could also use this source to discuss howe was the first step in abolishing

abortion.
