With regard to SIP’s I would like to bring before you the following observations.

 Many a times it is the organization that decides the topic of SIP, as such “the
students may be allowed to give their area /sector of interest to work with rather
than the specific topic” may be considered.
 A mechanism of allowing and encouraging the students to find their own SIP may
be incorporated though final nod may be given by the SIP committee
 SIP committee may come out with a standard format of the report unless the
organization wants the report in a specific format.
 The initial pages of the SIP report may be standardized i.e ., the order of the
pages, The title page .
 SIP committee can think of providing the guidelines with regard to the table
formatting, Charts, references, type of font to be used, size of the font etc
 In some organizations by the end of first two weeks the students do not get
needed information for their SIP’s from organization and they will be doing other
works as allotted in the organization. A solution for the same can be thought of
with regard to submitting the design of study at the end of 2nd week.
 As Dr. Shetal was pointing, one can think of developing a mechanism of
monitoring at the end of 4th week.
