LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to greet and introduce themselves to their friends using
M fixed phrases.
At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to introduce themselves to the audience using three fixed
C phrases.
1. Introduce target language to the pupils.
2. Display sentence cards on the board.
I. PRE-LESSON 3. Show an example by introducing yourself to the pupils.
4. Guide pupils to report back.
1. Guide pupils to practise target language in pairs ( shoulder-partner).
2. Pupils report back to the whole class.
Example: I’m…….… . He’s ……….. /She’s ……..
II. LESSON 3. Divide pupils into groups of about 4:
DEVELOPMENT 4. They repeat step 1.
5. Make larger groups of about 6/8/10.
6. Pupils report names within the larger group.
7. Pupils report back to the whole class.
1. Distribute sticky notes to pupils.
2. Guide pupils to write their first names on the sticky notes.
3. Paste the sticky notes on pupils’ foreheads.
4. Then, guide pupils to stand in a line in alphabetical order of their first names.
5. In pairs, pupils remember as many names as they can (e.g. He’s Ahmed, She’s Regina).
6. Finish by eliciting the names of everyone in the line.
III. POST LESSON 7. Teach pupils Bye!
8. Divide pupils into groups Pupils say Bye! to each other (e.g. Bye Nur!, Bye. Amir!). and
Bye! to you.

Extension activity:
1. Pupils complete the worksheet given. Reading Screening
2. Display pupils’ work.
