fraction the denominator must be the same and we can use the like fractions.

Possible Problems and Misconceptions:

Some students will play with the materials that the teacher will give them for the activity.

The teacher will confuse between the two activities for dominator of 10 and dominator of 100.

Solutions:
The teacher will let the leader of the group put the materials on his disk.
The teacher should arrange the activities before students attend the class.

Lesson Schedule
Targeted teacher language:
The teacher explaining the main concept and her instructions.
Student’s interactions to answering the activating and using Math language.

The teacher will give each student a paper that shaped like money for the quiz and after 3 min the teacher 5min
will discuss two questions with the students in the board. (3 min)
After that, the teacher will give each group an envelope and each envelope contains logo of Zayed Year

and the first doll is the numerator and the second doll which is in the bottom is the denominator and small
board to write the answers and let students write this fraction as a decimal number(5 min).

After that, the teacher will review for students the second lesson which is how to write the parts of
hundreds to decimal number and the teacher will do one example how to write a fraction with 100
denominator to a decimal number. Then, the teacher will give each a Series that has two numbers one in
the above which represent the numerator and one in the bottom which represent the denominator and

them popcorn pieces to write in side them the like faction and transfer them to decimal numbers. Then
students will open their books page 673 and solve questions from 5 to7 (10 min).

Finally, the teacher will review the last lesson which is fractions addition and decimal numbers. The
teacher will review to students how to use the shading form to add fractions with a denominator of 100
and she will model 1 examples for students in the board and then she will put an addition operation and
she will explain how to shade the operation by using the shading form and after that she will give each
group colors and shading forms that has an addition operation and students in groups will solve the
addition operation and write the correct answer. Then the teacher will explain other example of how to
add fractions with a denominator of 100 without using the shading form by using the UAE money (10
min).
Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or assessment): 5min
