Lesson Reflection 1

The teacher taught a math lesson on shapes to a KG2-3 class. [1] She used various engaging activities like reading a story about shapes, having students identify shapes by their characteristics, and having students stand in different shapes, which kept the students attentive and helped them understand the lesson well. [2] However, most students were high-level and finished activities quickly, making it difficult to control the class. [3] For the next lesson, the teacher intends to focus on how to better control hyperactive students to keep the class quiet.

MCT Sir Basel

Class Date 15-3-2018

KG2-3

Firstly, discuss one aspect that YOU feel you did very well. Try to analyze why you think it worked
well and what hints you would share with other teachers about the successful strategy/
resource/activity/management style etc.

I taught math lesson about shapes, it was a fun lesson and I enjoyed with the children, also the
teacher like what I did to review the lesson. I used different ways to keep children’s attention
with me for example first I read a story about shapes then I said the characteristic of each shape
and children have to find the shape. Children enjoy lots while doing this activity. Also, I stick
different shapes on the floor and children have to stand in the shape that I will say it’s names. I
noticed that using more activities while teaching children is better for them and that will help
them to understand the lesson well.

Secondly, elaborate on the aspect identified by YOU that requires attention. Discuss what the
problem was, why it occurred and what action you intend to take to be more successful in the
next lesson.

The difficulty that I faced while am teaching, most of the students were high-level students so, I made
more activities for them because they finished the activities quickly and I have to make them busy with
something to control them.
Personal focus for next lesson:

I will focus on how to control hyperactive children to keep the class quiet.
