Foundation Training Setup

Pre-Requisites

 Blue Prism installed locally (version 4.2 or greater)

 Valid Blue Prism license

 New Blue Prism database – This can be a local SQL Express DB or an SQL Server DB. It must
not be a shared database and access must be for the trainee only.

 Microsoft Excel 2003 or greater

 Blue Prism access credentials for the trainee. The trainee must have full privileges within Blue
Prism. The default admin ID can be used.

Training Application
The Foundation Training application is a single executable file (TrainingOrderSystem.exe) that must be
save to C:\BluePrism\Training\Applications\Windows.

The credentials for the application are:

Username: bp

Password: password

Case File
The case file used in the exercises is Orders.csv.

This must be saved to C:\BluePrism\Training\Applications\Windows

Default Processes, Objects and Work Queues.


The Foundation Training Course relies on a series of pre-existing process, objects, work queues and
work queue data.

Import the Blue Prism release Foundation Training Setup.bprelease into your Blue Prism database.
Select File – Import and select the release.

To pre-load the work queue in preparation for Chapter 9 open the Load Queue process in Process
Studio and run it.

 File – Open – Process (select the Load Queue process)

 Run the process by pressing the “play” button on the toolbar

 Close the process
