(1) Welding works involves hazards such as chemical inhalation of welding fume, radiation eye injury, electrocution, heat stress, burns due to sparking, and injury from oxygen cylinders. The risks include serious injury, fatality, permanent disability or illness. (2) Current control measures include providing appropriate PPE, inspecting cables, good ventilation, rest areas, restricting flammable materials, securing oxygen cylinders, flash back arrestors, and removing empty cylinders. (3) Responsibilities for the welding works are assigned to the project manager, site manager, site agent, site engineer, site supervisor, and workers.
