Lab Materials: Starbursts, foil, wax paper, beakers, hot water, coloured pencils,
textbook.
Procedure:
1. Unwrap your different coloured Starbursts.
2. Stack all three Starbursts on top of each other, wrap them in wax paper,
and put them inside the plastic bag and press them together. You may
have to squish it with a textbook. Draw what you see.

3. Roll the rock between your hands applying heat and

water (DO NOT PUT YOUR FINGERS IN THE WATER!!) for one minute. Take it
out and apply pressure again. Draw what you see.
