Process Control Fundamentals Related To Distributed Control System PDF

This document outlines a training course on process control fundamentals and distributed control systems (DCS). The course aims to provide technicians without prior background in process control or DCS with the knowledge required to work on control system projects. Topics covered include regulatory control, control valves, DCS benefits and usage, DCS infrastructure, hardware and software. Hands-on sessions using process simulators are included to demonstrate temperature, pressure, level and flow control as well as alarm setting and viewing process parameters and histories. Commercial DCS examples from Honeywell, Yokogawa and Siemens are also reviewed.

We have simulator for temperature, pressure and level control. In that we can open controller face
plate and set the controller parameters, can view the process history, can set high and low level
alarm etc. It will be same like how we do the things in DCS window. Below are the screen shots
from our simulator and pictures of our lab facilities.
