Harmonic #: A1 A2 A3 A4 DC Amplitude Phase

The document contains data from a Fourier analysis of a sampled waveform, including the amplitude and phase values for the first 4 harmonics. A graph shows a one cycle sampled waveform with 16 samples per cycle. Tables below show the raw Fourier analysis results, including the amplitudes and phase angles for each harmonic up to the 7th harmonic.

You enter values in blue.

Harmonics up to N/2-1. 7 is highest in this example.

The amplitude and phase angle calculations for the DC component

are handled slightly different than for rest of harmonics.

Results highlighted in yellow are mirror images

of the top half. This is due to Nyquist features.

Note that the Fourier analysis in Excel has

to be run each time the input data
changes (its not automatic).
