COOKIE CUTTER
- a device with sharp
edges for cutting cookie dough into a particular shape. DOUBLE BOILER - a saucepan with a detachable upper compartment heated by boiling water in the lower one. ELECTRIC MIXER - a kitchen utensil which uses a gear- driven mechanism to rotate a set of beaters in a bowl containing the food to be prepared. HONING STEEL - sometimes referred to as sharpening steel; is a rod of steel, ceramic or diamond coated steel used to realign blade edges. ICE CREAM SCOOP - Is a specialized spoon used to serve ice cream. JUICER - is a tool used to extract juice from fruits, herbs, leafy greens and other types of vegetables. KNIFE - is a tool with a cutting edge or blade, hand-held or otherwise, with most having a handle. LADLE - a large round spoon with a long handle, used particularly for taking liquids out of containers. MEASURING CUPS, GLASS AND SPOONS - Used to measure liquid and dry ingredients. NUT CRACKER - To crack open the hard outer shell of various nuts. ROLLING PIN - A long, rounded wooden or marble tool rolled across dough to flatten it. QUICHE PAN - A pan where edges of the sides are often fluted used for making quiches or tarts (as in large pies).
