MATHEMATICS CLUB
ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

I. Introduction

As part of the advocacies of the DepEd to provide Quality Education, the students of
Barrio Luz Elementary School got the chance to enhance their skills in MATHEMATICS.
As part of the program of MATH CLUB, they set a series of activities under the
coordinatorship of Mrs. Crisfe B. Ponsica, these activities were geared towards the
development of the students from June to March. The said activities were in accordance
to the DepEd Vision Mission and goals through memorandums approved by the Division
office. Our School offers programs that would make Math pleasurable to everyone. This
taught the students the techniques and methods of solving problems in Math.

II. Activities Undertaken

 MTAP (Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines)

MTAP Tutorials are regularly held every Saturday from August 9 –


September 20, 2014. The Students were given modules to practice through
different exercises with the mentorship of the trained Mathematics teachers.
The Mentors discussed every skill before answering the module. The
trainers for each grade level were:
Mrs. Enclunar – Grade One
Mrs. Ratunil – Grade Two
Mrs. Buaya – Grade Three
Mrs. Quinto – Grade Four
Mrs. Ponsica – Grade Five
Mrs. Firme – Grade Six

 Math Quiz and DAMATH

The District Math Quiz and Damath were held last September 21, 2014 at
Barrio Luz Elementary School.
Barrio Luz Elementary won the following:
Math Quiz Grades V and VI – First Place
DAMATH Grades I and II – Third Place
Grades III and IV – Second Place
Grades V and VI – second Place
 MTAP Division Elimination

This was held in Mabolo Elementary School


Barrio Luz Elementary school sent 3 contestants for each grade level and
fortunately, the Grades III, IV, V and VI contestants were able to qualify for the
Division Team Finals.
 MTAP Division Team Finals

This was held last February 3, 2015, Barrio Luz Elementary School
contestants were able to send 2 contestants for Grades III, IV, V and VI.
Fortunately, the grade IV contestants (Arfil Trazona and Ashley Sanchez) were
able to grab the 3rd Place, with their coach Mrs. Lorna Quinto.
