MORE FROM WOOD
The family company founded in 1960 is one of
the leading manufacturers of woodbased
materials today. In 15 plants all over Europe,
the EGGER Group produces chipboard, MDF
and OSB board. Most of these products are
upgraded in the EGGER plants and used for
further processing of semi-finished products
and the production of pre-fabricated furniture
components and laminate flooring.

EGGER first produced laminate flooring in the

year 1996. Within a very short period of time, the
new business area with the current production
sites in Brilon (DE) and Wismar (DE) developed
so favourably that EGGER has become one of
the leading manufacturers of laminate flooring
today.

Investments in the latest production

technologies allowed capacities to be expanded
to currently 80 million m2 of laminate flooring
per year. The ability to obtain all preliminary

Thanks to the innovative technology of digital printing, skirting
boards and floor profiles can now be produced to match the
decoration of the flooring. It makes no difference whether this

relates to a paper-film decoration for laminate flooring or digital
oriented alternative materials for parquet flooring. Everything is
possible, opening up new and previously unimaginable possibilities
in the field of modern interior design.

Ground breaking new features have also been introduced when it

comes to abrasion resistance. A new production process provides
for the highest level of abrasion resistance (AC3- AC5) and glossing
degree relating to surface structures.

This also opens up another area of application- Optimising floor

profiles with an additional feature: it is now possible for the first
time to apply a structure to surfaces, such as wood grains. Various
different base materials such as paper plastic and others can now
be printed.

Groping around in the dark or needing to switch on the
lights at full glare just to fetch a cold beer from the
fridge is decidedly uncool. Would it not be preferable
to gently illuminate your path with a subdued and
dimmable lighting?

FN now has the solution. A successful combination

of fastening rail and LED ducting show how it’s
done. Any Neuhofer skirting up to 90mm in
height and fitted with a clip groove may be
plugged on. This renders the system highly
flexible.

The system can furthermore

accommodate either LED strips of
varying wattage and colours or just
wiring in its ducts. And the aluminium
design allows any generated heat
to simply dissipate.

Clipholder CH23 is the perfect solution where practical and innovative

attachment of profiles is required. The special skirting Clip can be screwed
on, glued to the wall with standard PUR adhesives, or tacked in place with
a nail gun. Then all you need to do is click the profile in place – it can be
easily removed again, if needed. The unique interlocking system used here
also prevents lifting of the profile. This system is best suited to walls that

Sixpack stands for strength and power. But sixpack also
stands for versatility. This profile combines six different
possible uses. Covering expansion joints when floors are the
same height, for floor areas with differing heights and, in
combination with the included end pieces, as an end profile.
And each of these with two different assembly methods:
dowelling or gluing. The profile is available in a version in
HDF with the surfaces highly wearresistant foil or veneer or
made of solid wood, varnished or untreated.
