5 Course The course aims:
Objective
 To provide an overview and understanding of the basic premises of
International Trade and business.
 To introduce students to the evolution of international trade and business and
its rationale.
 To assist students to integrate conceptual theoretical and practical aspects of
measurement of international integration in terms of Trade and business.
 To develop an awareness of the policies governing the world trade and
investment system, from the perspectives of International trade

Outcomes On successful completion of this module students will be able to:
a) Conceptualize the importance of international trade for better understanding
of business trade in International perspective & the interlinked policies and
procedures.
b) Explain the fundamental objectives for involvement in international trade.
c) Analyse the contemporary changes in international trade and business
processes through various business policies.
d) Assess various bilateral and multilateral cooperative arrangements in
International trade practices.
e) Demonstrate the contributions of international organizations responsible for
promotion of international trade, and having basic awareness in international
documentation and payment processes, understanding BOP, International
Monetary system and Exchange rates.
