Slow Down/Speed Up Backing Tracks Using Best Practice

BestPractice is a PC program that allows users to slow down or speed up backing tracks by opening an audio file, adjusting the playback speed with a slider, and saving the altered file with a new name in .WAV format, as it only saves in that format and a conversion may be needed for other formats.

Slow Down/Speed up Backing Tracks Using Best Practice

Please note that at present, BestPractice only runs on a PC with an internal or external CD/DVD
player/recorder attached.

Download BestPractice 1.03 and install the program onto your computer. Open the application.

Open the audio file you wish to alter.

Pause the track (if playing) and change the playing speed using the ‘Playing speed’ slider.

Save the file with an alternative name (e.g. Can-Can Slower)

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE APPLICATION WILL ONLY SAVE THE FILE IN .WAV FORMAT. Should you
require the file in an alternative format, use a third party sound conversion application such as
Switch.
