Ships Types

The document describes 8 different types of ships: multipurpose ships, container ships, heavy cargo ships, refrigerated ships, tankers, chemical tankers, bulk carriers, and tugs. Multipurpose ships can carry various types of cargo, while container ships have increasingly been used for cargo transport since the 1960s. Heavy cargo ships are designed to carry extremely large objects, and refrigerated ships now mostly use refrigerated containers instead of trays. Tankers transport liquefied gases like LPG and LNG, chemical tankers have strict regulations, and bulk carriers carry loose cargo like grains. Tugs are strong ships that assist other vessels and fight fires and disasters.
