HCM Setup Steps for NON-HCM Customers (Financials, CRM, etc.) (Doc ID 1448455.1)

SYMPTOMS
There are several pieces of HCM functionality that have to be setup on all Financials and CRM instances even though HCM is not a licensed
product on the implementation. Problems resulting from an incomplete HCM setup can include:
- No person type showing in the drop down list on the Manage User form
- No values showing in the Legal Entity LOV on the Manage User form.
- Unable to see any Roles when the Add Role button is selected on the Manage Users form.
- In trying to create Suppliers:
- The Supplier needs to have a Supplier Site.
- Supplier Site is Grayed Out because the user is not a Procurement Agent
- Procurement Agent can not be created because a person/agent lov is empty
- Unable to create the person because the Person Type LOV is blank on the Manage User screen
All this within an environment where Human Capital Management (HCM) is not being implemented. Following the steps outlined here will
correct those issues.
CAUSE
HCM configuration has not been completed.
The SCM, Financials or CRM system was not delivered with HCM setups, but in order to process Users the HCM setup must be complete.
SOLUTION
There are several steps required in order to complete the HCM setup.
1) Ensure that HCM Data roles have been created and mapped.

Create new Role Mapping
Add Roles that can be requested.
Roles that are added here as Autoprovisioned can be added via the Autoprovision on the Employee
For additional information on this process, follow the steps in 1355889.1.
2) Update Enterprise HCM information to be complete.
Navigator > Setup and Maintenance
Query the Manage HCM Enterprise Information task
Query the Enterprise. Note: The seeded enterprise is named "Setup Enterprise".

Click the Edit > CORRECT button.
NOTE: Selecting UPDATE instead of CORRECT may result in unexpected results and cause additional issues.
Accept the defaults here or change the required fields to settings appropriate for your business.
Submit.
3) Update Legal Entity information to make it a PSU and Legal Employer

Select Legal Entity from list
Update the Legal Entity to be a Payroll Statutory Unit (PSU) and Legal Employer
4) Create LDG to be attached to Legal Entity
Query Manage Legislative Data Groups
Click on Create

Enter appropriate information.
5) Update Legal Entity HCM information, Payroll Statutory Unit tab to add LDG
Query Manage Legal Entity HCM Information
Select Legal Entity
Click the Edit > CORRECT button.

Ensure that mandatory field is filled in both Legal Employer tab.
Ensure that the Legislative Data Group is selected on the Payroll Statutory Unit tab.
6) Create Employee.
Navigator Manage User to create a new employee.
