8. Calculate the scale factors h1 , h2 , h3 for (a) cylindrical, (b) spherical co-ordinate system.
9. Given, φ = r2 sin(θ), v = z 2 eˆr in cylindrical co-ordinates. Evaluate ∇φ, ∇2 φ, ∇ · v, ∇ × v.

10. Given, φ = r2 sin(θ), v = eˆr + eˆφ + eˆθ in spherical co-ordinates. Evaluate ∇φ, ∇2 φ, ∇·v, ∇×v.
