Understanding of transmission lines, circuits, and systems in microwave
band.
Analysis, design, and simulation some basic microwave circuits.

1 Frequencies: from 0,3GHz to 300 GHz

UHF (0,3-3GHz): Television broadcasts, microwave oven, microwave devices/communications, radio astronomy,
mobile phones, wireless LAN, Bluetooth, ZigBee, GPS and two-way radios such as land mobile, FRS and GMRS
radios, amateur radio.
SHF (3-30GHz): Radio astronomy, microwave devices/communications, wireless LAN, most modern radars,
communications satellites, cable and satellite television broadcasting, DBS, amateur radio.
EHF (30-300GHz): Radio astronomy, high-frequency microwave radio relay, microwave remote sensing, amateur
radio, directed-energy weapon, millimeter wave scanner.

Radar Systems:
Military systems: Radar is used for detecting and locating air, ground,
and seagoing targets; missile guidance and fire control.
Commercial systems: air traffic control, motion detectors, vehicle
collision avoidance, and distance measurement.
Scientific applications: weather prediction, remote sensing of the
asmosphere, the oceans, and the ground; medical diagnostics and
therapy (use microwave radiometry, which is the passive sensing of
microwave energy emitted from an object).
