My friend Ben loves extreme sports. He often goes windsurfing and sometimes kayaking, but
last month he did a bungee jump for charity. Ben is frightened of heights so a bungee jump was
terrifying for him, but he wanted to raise money for a charity that helps poor city children do
sports.

He loves IT so he decided to create a webpage to tell everyone about the charity and his
bungee jump. He told people that they could donate money online through Justgiving or they
could text a donation. The jump was last Saturday and while he was waiting to jump I collected
more money for him. There were lots of people watching and everyone cheered when Ben
jumped. He raised nearly £500. He was delighted and has decided to do another jump next
month.

He’s now writing a blog about extreme sports and it’s so good that the charity have asked him
to write a blog for them about the work they do with children. He wants to link the two blogs to
encourage people to find out about extreme sports and also ways of helping poorer children
become active.
