CNC Machinist 9-2008 to 1-2009
Produced various wing components - some measuring more than 100 feet long - for the
AirBus A330/A340-300-500-600 programs. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting
tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines. Check work pieces to
ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooled. Dismantle machines and equipment
using hand tools and power tools in order to examine parts for defects and replace
defective parts where needed. Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools.
Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock in order to display placement of cuts. Machine
parts to specifications using machine tools such as milling machines, shapers, and
grinders. Maintain industrial machines. Measure, examine, and test completed units in
order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision
instruments such as micrometers. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the
machining process.

K and K Iron Works , Chicago , IL


CNC Machinist 3-2005 to 2-2008
Program and operated Peddinghaus Plasma Table & Drill Machines. Read and interpret
blue prints, sketches, and product specifications to determine best sequence and methods
for fabrication of products at close tolerances. Review, alter, and when needed, created a
program at the CNC control panel as dictated by production and engineering needs. Daily
responsibilities include; loading and identifying the needed material (ordering new
material). Checking the material thickness and type of iron to meet engineering
specifications. Tool selection, changing and sharpening. Fully servicing, maintaining,
troubleshooting and diagnosing potential problems with the equipment on a daily basis to
ensure manufacturing runs smoothly.

Worked as a Millwright in a fast paced structural steel fabrication shop. Maintaining
many types of CNC and manufacturing equipment. Setup and operated Cincinnati, Fadal,

fabrication. Operated and maintained overhead cranes, forklifts, and front loader.
