LESSON PLAN
I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of a 40-minute lesson, at least 80% of the students should be able to achieve at
least 75% level of success with the following:
a) Identify the dangers of the Internet;
b) Be wary and wise whenever accessing the Internet.

III. PROCEDURE
A. Motivation
Cite the news about the security breach on the database of Commission on Elections
(COMELEC). Connect it to the topic at hand.
B. Essential Questions
Is the Internet safe?
How can you protect your information online?
C. Exploration
1) Define online safety.
2) Discuss the measures on how to be safe when accessing the Internet.
D. Fixing Skills
1) Show a video clip, or cite a situation concerning online safety.
2) Let the students state their thoughts about the video or situation, and how it can affect them.
IV. EVALUATION
Enumerate the different online safety measures. Discuss them briefly.
V. ASSIGNMENT
Interview a friend or relative about their experiences of safety online being endangered and what did
they do about it.
