Procedure/Activites
Review with students what synonyms and antonyms are
• have students give answers in their own words
• have students provide one or two examples of each
Before students start playing their matching game, show them the list of words in the game and make sure they know
what all of the words mean (list of words attached)
• do an example round of the game so that students understand how to play (maybe do arid and humid as the example
since those are the two words students may not understand from the stack)
Have students complete ANTONYM matching game task cards (attached)
• Students should be paired for the game (pairings attached)
