Word Total:15 mks

(1) Open a new MS Word document

(2) Type the following paragraph:- 4 mks

Some people think that the arrival of Christopher Columbus was a


disaster, resulting in misery for millions of human beings. Others think
that in thr longer term it was a good thing that he established contact
between the ‘new world’ and Europe.

What do you think? Why not have a class debate on this subject?

(3) Select and bold Christopher Columbus. 1 mk

(4) Insert a heading for the paragraph. Center, italics and underline the
heading. 4 mks

(5) Insert the following sentence at the end of the first sentence. 1 mk

“This house mourns the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the


Caribbean”

(6) Delete the last sentence on your page. 1 mk

(7) Perform a spell and grammar check. 1 mk

(8) Find and replace ‘new world’ with ‘New World’. 1 mk

(9) Change the font size to 14. 1 mk

(10) Save the document as Assessment2 1 mk
