CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE FAHU

Non-routine maintenance cannot be foreseen, since this is usually due to the effects of wear or fatigue
due to incorrect functioning of the unit.

Replacement of parts
 Parts must be replaced by skilled personnel:

Qualifications required:
 Qualified maintenance mechanic
 Qualified maintenance electrician
 Manufacturer’s technician

The unit is designed to allow for the execution of all operations necessary to maintain the same in a perfectly
efficient state.
However, it may happen that a component breaks down due to malfunctioning or wear; for replacement, please
consult the executive drawing.

The components which may need replacement are listed

below:
 Filters
 Belts
 Pulley motor
 Pulley fan
 Fan
 Motor
 Recovery/heating/cooling coil
 Humidification pump

For some of these operations, of a general character, a specific description is not given, since they are operations
which are included within the professional competence of the personnel appointed to carry out the same.

Cleaning
It must be remembered that it is strictly forbidden to carry out cleaning operations while the unit is functioning. The
operators appointed to maintain the unit must be informed of this ban

Before carrying out any general cleaning operations, the unit must be switched off and voltage must be disconnected
from the electrical panel by means of the main switch.
For general cleaning operations, the use of vacuum cleaners and air blowers is allowed to remove impurities from the
UNIT.

Cleaning operations m ust not involve lubricated parts, such as rotating shafts, since this could cause functioning
problems and could shorten duration.
For switching off the unit for more or less lengthy periods, it is sufficient to cut off voltage from the unit by means of the
main switch.
For the resumption of the activity, after a more or less lengthy period of idleness, general cleaning and starting up
procedures are necessary.

Components subject to wear and consumption – Spare parts

When the unit is functioning, certain mechanical and electrical parts are subject to wear and consumption; these
parts must be kept under control in order to replace or restore them before correct functioning is compromised
with the consequent stop of the unit.

IN THE APPENDICES THERE IS A TABLE SHOWING THE PARTS SUBJECT WEAR, RELATIVE TO THE SPECIFIC UNIT ORDERED.
For particular components, such as bearings, motor shafts, etc., please consult the specific appendices
giving the technical features.

To buy the spare parts necessary for routine and/or non-routine maintenance, please contact McQuay quoting
the serial number of reference of the unit indicated in the documentation and on the plate of the unit.
