Basic Electronics (15ELN15)

Course objectives:

To make students of all the branches of Engineering to understand the efficacy of Electronic
principles which are pervasive in engineering applications

Course outcomes:

CO – 1 Module 1
Understand the working of diode and its applications in rectifiers, filter and regulator circuits.

CO – 2 Module 1 Module 2
Understand the working of bipolar junction transistor and its biasing methods to design
amplifier.

CO – 3 Module 2
Design simple circuits like amplifiers (inverting and non inverting), comparators, adders,
integrator and differentiator using OPAMPS.

CO – 4 Module 3 Module 4
Understand the different building blocks in digital electronics and its implementation at logic
level.

CO – 5 Module 5
Understand the functioning of a communication system, different modulation technologies, and
principles of different Transducers
