The T24 Process Has Been Spawned and Never Receives The Banner Message

The document discusses common errors that occur in TAG and their solutions. It addresses a Bind exception error caused by port allocation conflicts that can be resolved by modifying the tag20.xml file. It also answers that TAG only supports GRID enquiries, not PAGE enquiries, and that an error starting the TAG Master is due to mismatched environment variables between Jbase and TAG that can be resolved by adding missing variables to tag20.xml.

Question

What is the reason for Bind exception related errors in TAG?

Answer

This error occurs when the ports configured in the "tag20.xml" configuration file is already
allocated to any other connectivity tool. To overcome the issue, the port allocation should
be rectified in "tag20.xml’.

Question

Does TAG support PAGE enquiry?

Answer

TAG supports only the GRID enquiry and not the PAGE enquiry

Question

Why does the following error appear while starting the TAG Master. ’The T24 process has
been spawned and never receives the banner message’ ?

Answer

The mentioned error will occur only due to the mismatch of the Jbase Environment variables
and the environment variables created by TAG (tag20.xml).

This can be resolved by adding the missing environment variables in tag20.xml file
